SUPER GIRL GAMER PRO CHAMPIONSHIPS TO BE HELD ONLINE OCTOBER 2 – 4 WITH A $30,000 PRIZE PURSE; MAJOR SPONSORS LINE UP TO SUPPORT KEY WOMEN-IN-GAMING INITIATIVE

The Only Female-Driven Multi-Title Esports Tournament Series in the U.S continues its online Qualifying Tournaments through September 6 in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends and Hearthstone

Melbourne, FL (August 27, 2020) – ASA Entertainment announced today that the Super Girl Gamer Pro Series will host its Championships online from October 2 – 4 with a $30,000 prize purse at stake. Given the ever-changing situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, moving the Championships to an online format was deemed the best and safest option for the players, staff, and team members.

Online Qualifier Tournaments have been running weekly since July 10 with tremendous success and high-level game play from some of the top female players in North America. The final week of the Qualifier Series will be held September 4 – 6 where the top four Counter-Strike teams, the top four League of Legends teams and the top eight Hearthstone players will advance to the Championships based upon a cumulative ranking points system.

“This is a really important series for women, and I am so happy to be a part of it,” said Emmalee “EMUHLEET” Garrido (Los Angeles, Calif.), captain of the women’s CS:GO team for Dignitas. “It’s such a great step for Super Girl Gamer to expand its reach to women throughout North America via the online qualifying series and the Championships. Most people recognize how critical it is to create meaningful opportunities for women, and it’s been gratifying to watch the progress Super Girl has made over the past few years.”

The rest of the Qualifier Series and the Super Girl Gamer Championships will be streamed live on Twitch and Facebook Gaming.

In its fourth year, the Super Girl Gamer Series was created to provide a platform for female gamers in a safe environment and to help both inspire and empower women to take a larger role within esports. Ultimately, the goal is to facilitate a future where women and men have an equal playing field within the gaming industry. Not only is the series supported by the top female players, but the broadcast talent, tournament organizers, and production team are also comprised of passionate female leaders like Stephanie “missharvey” Harvey.

The Super Girl Gamer Series is supported by a group of like-minded brands that are eager to take a leadership role in developing equality for women and understand the importance of the Super Girl Gamer mission.

Nissan, GameStop, the US Air Force, Zenni Gaming, Legion by Lenovo, Twitch, Facebook Gaming, the gameHERs, Power Crunch and the US Marines are each using their influence to amplify the Super Girl values and provide opportunities for women in gaming.

“We are exceptionally grateful to have such a committed group of brand partners who are passionate about creating more diversity and inclusion in gaming,” said Rick Bratman, CEO of ASA Entertainment and producer of the Super Girl Series. “These companies understand that only through our collective voice can we change the culture and eliminate the toxicity that prevents women from more actively participating in the esports community.”

The Championships live stream schedule is as follows:

  • Friday, October 2 from 6p – 11:30p EST for the Hearthstone Finals
  • Saturday, October 3 from 3p – 11p EST for the League of Legends Finals
  • Sunday, October 4 from 3p – 11p EST for the CS:GO Finals
